Doi Inthanon National Park Chiang Mai is the most famous national park among all the gardens and parks in Chiang Mai. The park has quiet and serene location. The park extends over about 1,005 square kilometers of area and is located in the surroundings of Chom Thong, San Pa Tong and Mae Cheam. These are the three Amphoes.

You can take a car on rent to explore the beauty of Doi Inthanon. Doi Inthanon National Park in Chiang Mai is located at a distance of about 90 minutes southwest of Chiang Mai city. The park boasts of magnificent waterfalls, flora and fauna. Shooting, fishing, scratching tree bark or doing anything that can harm the natural beauty of the region is not allowed.

The park is situated on the Doi Inthanon, which is the highest mountain of the region. The park is a treat for bird watchers, as more than 383 species have been spotted in this region.

Popular attractions of Doi Inthanon National Park include Namtok Mae which is truly one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Chiang Mai. The park also houses Namtok Mae Klang. It is a big cascade with attractive picnic spot. At Doi Inthanon National Park, Chiang Mai you can also visit Namtok Mae Ya and Namtok Wachirathan.
